Research show that acupuncture has anti-inflammatory effects on multiple organ systems in the body.

Continuing on the theme of the anti-inflammatory effects of acupuncture, in this research they found “that acupuncture indeed exerts strong anti-inflammatory effects in multiple biological systems, namely, the immune, digestive, respiratory, nervous, locomotory, circulatory, endocrine, and genitourinary systems.” They found that acupuncture “convey(s) sensory signals to the spinal cord, brainstem, and hypothalamic neurons.” Super interesting information to explain how acupuncture can help so many different conditions that we see in the clinic.
