In this analysis of 12 research papers with 780 patients in total, they were looking at the anxiety and depression associated with a diagnosis of premature ovarian insufficiency and diminished ovarian reserve. They compared acupuncture treatment to hormonal treatment for the anxiety and depression. The acupuncture worked better to help with both anxiety and depression than the hormonal therapy did.
