Research looking at using acupuncture to help with post-operative cancer pain.

In this study they looked using preoperative touch/relaxation modalities, followed by intra-operative acupuncture (Group A) and compared it to just touch (Group B) and then just the gynaecological oncology surgery (Group C). They found less pain after all the operations where done in the first group (A). And even found quicker discharges from hospital in the just touch group before surgery compared to the just surgery group! Interesting that in the previous study they didn’t find any difference in the blood work they looked at between the groups.
