Looking at the medical properties of Mulberry’s, a common TCM herb.

In this study they looked at mulberry’s, a traditional TCM herb, medical properties. In TCM we used it to “nourish blood”. You may recognize this as the junk tree that grows up in your yard or beside vacant properties that has the big dark berry’s that stain the sidewalk. In this research they found mulberry has man bioactive substances, including antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ones are anticancer, hepatoprotective, antiobesity and cardiovascular functions! Does hurt that they are also very tasty! Fun fact, the leaves of the tree are a silk worms preferred food.
