Research looking at efficacy of acupuncture on treating IBS.

IBS

IBS is a very common problem with very uncomfortable symptoms. According to this research, IBS affects 4 % of the Chinese population. In this multi-centre trial they looked at the efficacy of acupuncture on treating IBS. They found that acupuncture improved abdominal pain and stool consistency in patients with IBS with sustained efficacy over 18 weeks. This matches what we find in clinic.
