This research article found that for woman suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction after birth , that adding acupuncture to biofeedback electrical stimulation [BES] combined with pelvic floor muscle training [PFMT] gave better results that using just the first 2 therapies. The women found more improvement from urinary incontinence (UI) and sexual dysfunction when they combined the 3 therapies together.
