Study looking at TCM formula’s effect on gene expression in atherosclerosis in mice.

As the title says this study was done on mice. They looked at a TCM herbal formula , Tanyu Tongzhi Tang, and “IL-10-dependent efferocytosis regulation as a pivotal mechanism underlying TTF's modulation of macrophage function in atherosclerosis.” The formula did significantly alleviates atherosclerosis. Even though this study was done on mice, tt was no accident this formula was chosen. According to the researchers “Tanyu Tongzhi Formula (TTF) is TCM formula with decades of clinical application and has been demonstrated through completed randomized, controlled multi-center clinical studies to extend the maximum exercise duration in patients with chronic coronary syndrome.”
