First of all I had to look up up Robot-Assisted therapy (RAT) for stroke rehab. It’s a thing! They did a meta-analysis of many research papers comparing just using the RAT, conventional rehabilitation or acupuncture therapy alone, to using the RAT with acupuncture for lower limb recovery post-stroke. They found that adding the acupuncture to the RAT made significant differences and demonstrating superior improvements in motor function, gait parameters, and daily living activities compared to just single therapies! Makes you wonder if the study was sponsored by a robot manufacturer.
