Researching using acupressure to treat (pre-eclampsia, high blood pressure) in pregnancy.

Pre-eclampsia - High blood pressure in pregnancy.

According to the WHO , pre-eclampsia, affects about 5 - 10 % pregnancies. This research review of 285 papers was hoping to find a low cost and side effect treatment to help in low resource community-based maternal health centres. They found that acupressure, on body and ear points, significantly reduced systolic (10-15 mmHg) and diastolic (5-8 mmHg) blood pressure. Cheers to low cost , low side effect , easy to train and effective treatments!
